What It Takes to be a Child Care Provider

Help Wanted – Duties and Skills

•Work 50-60 hours a week from Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. - ? (be willing to stay longer at a moments notice).
•Must be flexible.
•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
•Accept rate of pay – variable with no benefits and no paid holidays or days off. Be paid weekly (usually).
•Must be able to multitask (answer a phone, feed a baby, and redirect a child).
•Must possess excellent maintenance and housekeeping skills.
•A degree in business, early childhood, accounting, and human resources recommended.
•Should have outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
•Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic, and a team player.
•Must encourage, nurture, love, and teach tomorrow’s leaders.
