    Kids & Companions Club
    Saturday, September 6, from 11:00AM to 12:00Noon at the Dubuque Regional Humane Society. The Kids & Companions Club is a FREE club open to all animal-loving children under 12. (All kids under 6 must be accompanied by a parent.) Club kids get a chance to socialize with our furry friends, do arts & craft projects, and much more.     VNA In-Home Parenting Education Program
    Times to be determined. This is a voluntary in-home parenting program. It offers weekly meetings with eligible families to assist in areas such as setting up family rules; learning and understanding a variety of child behavior management tools; understanding children's growth and development; building strong relationships within the family; and more. There's no cost to families who participate. For more information, contact Amy Smith at the VNA at 556-6200.

    Parents as Teachers Family Education & Support Program
    Times to be determined. Parents as Teachers (PAT), through Four Oaks, is a family education and support program designed to provide information to families on child development. It is open to families with children aged prenatal to kindergarten entry who live in Dubuque County; however, there may be a waiting list to join the program. PAT is based on assisting parents as the first and most influential teachers of their children. The early years lay the foundation for a child's life. PAT offers weekly meetings with eligible families to assist in areas such as setting up family rules; learning and understanding a variety of child behavior management tools; understanding children's growth and development; building strong relationships within the family; and more.
